Re-education for Mystyko

Winning the Listed Ranvet Abell Stakes over 1,200m

Quilly Park’s Listed winner Mystyko has returned to work after a spell with some arena work and further education at Ramsay Park Equestrian Services.

Now that he’s learning to balance up and has stopped drifting and laying and is carrying himself more in front in long reins its time to get putting it all together under saddle.

Owner Katie Ramsay rehabilitates horses with bad manners and attitude through her education program.

‘We’ve sent Mystyko to Katie for the purpose of getting him to travel better when the pace slackens off in races. We were lucky to get in as Katie’s reputation proceeds her’, said trainer Trevor Rogers.

We’re trying to find that 1% that will take him from a Listed winner to a Group winner.

‘He has a tendency to over-race and get himself side on and out of balance. We’re hoping with maturity and strengthening we’ll get him to travel and balance better in races’, added Rogers.
