Mystyko won at Woolamai on Saturday, January 20th over 1,008m under apprentice Sophie Logan.

Success at Woolamai earlier this month makes it back to back wins for our home-bred Plan the Peace gelding by Sakhee’s Secret.

Trainer Trevor Rogers was delighted with his performance and said, ‘So far our picnic campaign plans have been successful.

‘Mystyko has gained a lot of confidence for his wins and changed his attitude for the better as a result.

‘Mentally and physically he’s taken advantage of having a couple of wins. We’ll step him up a bit and see if he can run over a bit more ground.

‘Now he’s qualified there might be a chance of getting him round the Balnarring Cup this weekend.’

Mystyko ran the fastest last 400m at Woolamai over 1008m for the whole of last year (6 meetings) and this year (3 meetings thus far).

Quilly Park Managing Director, Richard Anderson said, ‘I couldn’t be happier with the way Trevor is campaigning the horse and am excited to see what he can do next.

‘Peter Bon from picnicbet.com.au informed us that Mystyko ran the fastest last 400m at Woolamai over 1008m for the whole of last year (6 meetings) and this year (3 meetings thus far). A huge effort considering he carried 71kg’s.’
