Get behind the Eight Ball

Quilly Park’s “EIGHT BALL” (Stryker x Barabba Star) 2yr old gelding won his first trial by 4 lengths at Cranbourne over 800m on Tuesday, September 17th.

‘’We’re very impressed with his effort in the trial and know that there’s still more to come. The future looks bright, he’s a keen, willing horse with a good racehorse’s temperament.’’, says trainer Trevor Rogers.

It’s a pity he didn’t have something that would go with him as he had a lot more to give.

It would have been nice to see what was there, but he did give me a really good feel.

EIGHT BALL is listed for Inglis’ Ready 2 Race Sale and breezes up – October 18th at Warwick Farm. He’ll go under the hammer at Riverside on October 22nd.

It was a shame the track was a heavy 10, as I know he will be better on top of the ground. At least buyers can see that EIGHT BALL can run 800m rather than just a fast 200m.

His name is appropriate – our black gelding is striking – we hope everybody get behind the EIGHT BALL when he races!

Richard Anderson, Managing Director – Quilly Park

EIGHT BALL is well educated. His x-rays are perfect and available to view with David Shepherd at Melbourne Equine Veterinary Group.
