Stable star Mystyko retires

Quilly Park’s Listed winner and much loved stable star Mystyko has been retired.

Mystyko has been a very special horse for Quilly Park and his journey quite remarkable.

We are extremely proud of all that Mystyko has achieved, particularly the unique journey that saw him go from success at the Picnics to Listed winner over a short space of time.

We decided as a group to retire Mystyko (George) after his run at Caulfield.

From a young age George showed us that he was going to be a competitive individual – race career summary: 44-10:7:9 Prizemoney: $418,570.

I don’t know of too many thoroughbreds winning a Picnic race (Woolami – carrying 73Kg) then going onto win a city Saturday race, a Listed race and place in a Group race.

Trevor Rogers of Rogers Racing built a great relationship with George and I know he will be missed around the stable. Thanks to Trevor for all he achieved with George, it is much appreciated.

George has now been transported to Alison Sketcher in Queensland. Quilly Park wish Alison and George all the best with his new career – Equestrian life.

Thanks for the memories, Mystyko.
