Supre (Avienus x High Chaparral) won the JRA Handicap at Caulfield over 1600m on Saturday, May 9th under Dwayne Dunn.
The win marks the mare’s first for trainer Lloyd Kennewell.
‘Supre did a good job. We’ve only had her this preparation and she’s a young mare with improvement’, said Kennewell.
‘It should have been 3 from 3. She got beaten by a nose first up then second up was just beaten after getting caught wide’.
When good mares are on form they’re hard to keep down.
She’ll go for a Stakes race on the last day of the Adelaide Carnival all being well.
Supre’s obviously a very valuable broodmare if she can get some black type.
