Supre (Avienus x High Chaparral) won the Richard Cotter Handicap at Caulfield over 1600m yesterday under Ethan Brown.
It was a well earned third win for the 4 year old mare. Trainers Lee and Shannon Hope are delighted with her performance.
‘She’s come through the race well and we’ll give her a week off. It really helps her that she can go out in the paddock and unwind after racing’, said Lee Hope.
She keeps making progress, has got the pedigree and we’re confident that she’s up to Group standard.

‘We intend to keep her here instead of sending her to Adelaide which was an option. We’re aiming at either the Mannerism or Francis Tressady, both Group 3 and a drop back to 1400m.
‘Then we’re hoping to go for the Matron over a mile at Flemington. We’ve had mares that have done well in those races before.
‘She keeps making progress, has got the pedigree and we’re confident that she’s up to Group standard.
‘Ethan is keen to step her up in distance. The plan is to pick up Black Type, get her rating up then we can look at something like the Matriarch over 2000m.’
From just nine race starts, Supre has had an impressive three wins and four seconds with prizemoney earnings of over $135,000.
