A winner and a second at Ladbrokes Park

Supre (Avienus x High Chaparral) won over 1400m at Ladbrokes Park Hillside Racecourse on November 28th for Hope Racing’s Lee and Shannon Hope under Ethan Brown.

Trainer Lee Hope said, ‘She did a really good job, fought hard and we’re really quite pleased with her.

‘When she came over she was pretty hot and had a few problems. We put the blinkers on her reluctantly.

‘She got bumped and bumped and bumped at Bendigo.

We kept her at 1400m, just in case she stirred herself up.

‘We’re very pleased with the way she settled then dug in.

‘She a bit of a worrier but likes being at home in the paddocks and likes to have the pony, Oscar, with her.’

It was almost a magical day for our breeding program.

Congratulations to the trainers of both horses.

Richard Anderson, Managing Director, Quilly Park

Mystyko, our home-bred gelding by Sakhee’s Secret out of Plan The Peace, came second over 1000m under Chelsea Hall.

Quilly Park’s trainer Trevor Rogers said, ‘I’m super impressed with the horse after not racing for 10 months. It looks like a nice preparation ahead of the season. We’re really happy with the way he pulled up.’
