Avienus’ Fastnet Rock colt begins racing career in HK

Racing Running Positions

Avienus’ Fastnet Rock colt Casa Glory came a respectable fourth at Sha Tin over 1,000m first time out on May 18th.

He dashed well 200m out to finish strong under jockey Karis Teetan, who is dubbed the ‘Mauritian Magician’.

The Quilly Park colt was sold as a yearling in 2017 at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale to Hong Kong-based agent Apollo Ng Shung for $90,000.

Casa Glory is now trained by ex-jockey Danny Shum Chap-shing out of his Hong Kong stable.

On May 9th he won his barrier trial over 1,000m, having previously won a barrier trial over the same distance at the end of January. He came 2nd in a barier trial over 1,200m in early January and 4th over 800m in April.

Shum won the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes with Little Bridge at Royal Ascot in 2012. We are very much looking forward to watching Casa Glory’s career on the track progress.
