Our Helmet x Waitui Belle colt sold for $28,000 at the VOBIS Gold Sale on Sunday, April 28th.
Our striking colt was selected by Peter Morgan on behalf of the team at Ciaron Maher Racing.
Delighted with the team’s purchase, Sam White said, ‘VOBIS nominated, he is to be trained out of Victoria.
‘It is good to see that his city-winning dam has already had two to the track for two winners.’
This Helmet colt is a big, strong, well balanced and good moving horse bought purely on type by Ciaron and Peter Morgan.
Pete likened him to a young Sirrconi and we all felt that he was good buying at $28,000.

Stud Manager Angela Delaney said, ‘This was the first draft of yearlings that the Quilly Park team prepared and presented ourselves.
‘I’m really proud of everyone involved. The way the horses looked and behaved was a credit to their dedication and hard work.’
I liked the look of our Helmet colt from early on, he grew into a big solid type but was always in proportion.
He has an incredibly gentle nature which made him a pleasure to prep, he’s easy going and took it in his stride.
We wish the team at Ciaron Maher all the very best and look forward to following his racing career.
