Our preparation for Inglis’ Premier Yearling Sale included something a little different this year.
We engaged Plus Vital to carry out their Speed Gene Tests on our yearlings in the hope that the scientifically-based results can help potential buyers to make an informed decision.
Both yearlings received a C:T result in their Plus Vital Speed Gene Tests.
- C:T horses will likely achieve their optimal performance if trained and raced as a middle distance type
… - Recommend targeting 1,200m+ races as a two-year-old, and 1,400-2,199m races as an older horse
… - Can breed sprint, middle distance or staying types depending on mare/sire
We’ve had very positive feedback so far on our use of the Speed Gene Reports and look forward to hearing from our buyers whether the results influenced their decision to bid.
